This roofing section had been covered with copper for over two decades. The recent three-day rainstorms, which tested even the most robust roofs, revealed failing solder joints throughout. The prospect of re-soldering such an extensive area, along with the potential for future seam failures, is daunting. I recommended TPO roofing for its durability, minimal maintenance, and ability to keep the roof cooler. With weldable perimeter edge metal, TPO roofing can be tailored to fit your home.

Installing Velux skylights on an existing copper roof was a challenging project due to the old skylights being mounted beneath the copper roofing. Having manufactured all the roof panels years earlier, undertaking such a project was nerve-wracking, yet I remained confident that everything would work out.

The gutter is in excellent condition, especially considering its age of 15 years. It's impressive that the coating still appears robust after all this time. However, the rear gutter's coating has experienced some adhesion issues, despite no leaks. We opted for Calbar tin roof paint due to its flexibility and durability, leading the customer to recommend a preventive coating.
TPO-coated custom edge metal and drip edge details are designed to ensure that water is effectively directed into the half-round gutters. This specialized roofing component is essential for proper water management and protection against leaks.
